My first stop, Alexandria Nicole Cellars, is a good representation of Washington State wine and the breadth of varietals.A plummy Alderdale Cabernet has 11 percent Merlot grapes and one percent Syrah, giving it a fuller body than I'd expect and the only thing stopping me from buying several bottles of the 2023 Pinky Swear rosé, with 94 percent Merlot, is my overstuffed suitcase. ..... The color is a deep ruby, with a lovely nose of black plum, coffee, blackberry, and a touch of minerality. On the palate, it is full-bodied with ripe fruit, yet approachable in structure.
