2012 Reserve Viognier
Vineyard: Destiny Ridge Vineyard, Horse Heaven Hills
100% Barrel Fermentation, aged 3 month’s sur-lees
Alcohol %: 13.6
Release limited to 172 cases
$28 / 750ml. bottle (Retail)
The Viognier grapes were hand-picked, gently whole cluster pressed and barrel
fermented in neutral French oak barrels using a combination of two dierent
yeasts. With a beautiful oral bouquet, this wine expresses layers of ripe Anjou
pear, peach, and lychee nut with hints of citrus, orange peel and melon. While the
Viognier itself is fresh and clean, the barrel fermentation imparts another layer of
creamy texture, which lends to its rich and lengthy finish.

2010 Block 17 Syrah
BLOCK 17 SYRAH is distinguished by its deep, dark inky color followed with a
full-bodied rich bouquet of fruit aromas, hints of plum, and ripe black cherry and
toasty vanilla spices, with layers cassis, cedar, and cocoa avors. This Syrah nishes
long and toasty with soft, velvety tannins. To complete this delicate wine, the rich
fruit was co-fermented with Viognier adding nuances of smoky toee. Pairs best
with peppered red meats, sausage, or other full-avored meats. This is a young,
bold wine, with a supple amount of acidity; if consumed prior to 2014, please
decant. Best consumed 2014-2017.

2010 Malbec
Deep purple in color, this Malbec opens with the pure varietal aromas of raspberry,
cassis, dried herbs and sandalwood. It’s bright and tangy and balanced
throughout, with a plush mouthfeel and traces of eucalyptus, blackberry and cedar
threaded through the dusty yet polished tannins. A good, bright acid base puts a
frame around the complex mix of avors. It nishes long and yet tight, so give it
some breathing time.

2010 Tempranillo
This is the sixth vintage for this rare Washington Tempranillo from Alexandria
Nicole Cellars and it continues to be a real crowd-pleaser. Dark Ruby-red in color the
nose is lled with rich, smoky aromas of black cherry, cassis, cola, and espresso.
Medium-bodied, with excellent concentration, the warm red fruit avors are
distinctly ripe and eshy but are nicely invigorated by bright mineral and oral
qualities. The long and juicy nish is an endless display of sweet, lush blackcurrant,
vanilla and spice, with ne and dusty tannins adding focus and balance. Needs
another year or two in the bottle to soften and unite, but is still quite enjoyable
right now.

2010 “Wild One” Cabernet Franc
Uniquely expressive of the terroir of our Estate Vineyard, Destiny Ridge, this Cabernet Franc was hand selected and fermented using native wild yeasts.  With a deep, dark violet color, aromas of bright red fruit show balance and complexity with a well integrated, subtle oak accent. Elegantly structured on the palate with restrained but richly textured flavors of black cherries, peppercorn and crushed herbs all wrapped in silky oak.  The full-bodied palate has a foundation of polished tannins, backed by a long blackberry, cedar and vanilla spice finish. Voluptuous and satisfying, it’s drinking well now but structured to develop over time.
