This is the sixth vintage for this rare Washington Tempranillo from Alexandria Nicole Cellars and it continues to be a real crowd-pleaser. Dark Ruby-red in color the nose is filled with rich, smoky aromas of black cherry, cassis, cola, and espresso. Medium-bodied, with excellent concentration, the warm red fruit flavors are distinctly ripe and fleshy but are nicely invigorated by bright mineral and floral qualities. The long and juicy finish is an endless display of sweet, lush blackcurrant, vanilla and spice, with fine and dusty tannins adding focus and balance. Needs another year or two in the bottle to soften and unite, but is still quite enjoyable right now.
